Dimmett (American, b. 1990) grew up drawing farm animals and wildlife in rural Missouri and earned a bachelor’s degree in fine arts from the Kansas City Art Institute.
Marker and pen are her favorite tools, and she favors rich, vibrant hues. We’ve included twenty-two of her original colorful images on the inside covers of this book. Well-defined black-and-white versions are ready for you to color.
What do your taste buds fancy for the frosting on the cupcakes? Lemon yellow? Blueberry?
You could follow Dimmett’s lead and make your birds and butterflies look true to life, but since this coloring book is about fun and fantasy, perhaps you’ll want to give some of the creatures a makeover. How about a blue tiger? Or an orange octopus?
