Set out from The Shire with Bilbo, Gandalf, and their company of Dwarves in pursuit of fortune and adventure in our Hobbit Sealed Escalation League beginning on Friday, August 14th. See below for details on how our league works. Players can join at any time!
Format: Casual Sealed Escalation League
Entry: $23.99 the first week (x3 Hobbit booster packs) and $8 each following week (x1 Hobbit booster pack).
Cap: 26 players
Prizes: Raffled off each Friday at 8 PM. Must be present to win.
SEALED ESCALATION LEAGUE DETAILS
- The league runs 6 weeks (8/14, 8/21, 8/28, 9/4, 9/11, 9/18).
- Week 1 players open their 3 packs and create a 30-card deck.
- Each following Friday players open 1 additional HOB league pack.
- If you lose 3+ games in a week, you can purchase 1 additional HOB league pack and add it to your league collection.
- Each player receives a free storage box to store your league cards at RCG. Participants take their cards home at the end of the league.
- Wins and losses don't matter. Play as many or as few games as you like each week. You can catch up on packs any time.
PRIZES!
- Bonus raffle every Friday at 8 PM – including a Hobbit Collector booster pack! You must be present to win.
- Players receive 1 raffle ticket for each day they play a league game at the store.
- Tickets reset each Friday after the raffle.
WEEKLY FORMATS
- Weeks 1-2 (8/14 and 8/21) the minimum deck size is 30 cards
- Week 3 (8/28) the minimum deck size increases to 40 cards.
- Week 4 (9/4) we play "Peasant" decks (your deck can only include common and uncommon cards).
- Week 5 (9/11) we play "Highlander" decks (your deck can only include 1 copy of a card other than basic lands).
- Week 6 (9/18) the minimum deck size increases to 60 cards.
No outside food or drink allowed.
